Gated Content

Gated content is any content, including blog posts, articles, white papers, webinars, or ebooks, that cannot be accessed until the visitor submits their contact information or logs in.

What content should be gated?

Any type of content can be gated, but the best gated content will include information that can’t be found anywhere else. This may include: data, statistics, case studies, and private frameworks / documentation.

How do you use gated content?

Gated content is typically used as a lead generation technique by marketers. Offering content in exchange for email addresses or other contact information typically results in higher conversion rates than simply asking for contact information. Once contact information is acquired, marketing emails or sales outreach can help turn new leads into customers.

How do you promote gated content?

Gated content can be promoted via any marketing channel. The most effective channels for promoting gated content include LinkedIn and other paid social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram.
